We’re excited to announce expressions of interest have launched this month for our +$600 million environmentally-focused project, Highett Common, which now has Stage 1 planning approval. Spanning 9.34 hectares, the master planned precinct will be home to over 1,000 residences, a conservation reserve alongside a public park with a state-of-the-art playground, a new public library and a community centre creating a holistic lifestyle for residents and the surrounding communities. We will also deliver 4-hectares of parkland and conservation reserve to the 37 Graham Rd site and the Bayside City Council.
Stage 1 of the Highett Common development will cater to a wide demographic with an extensive range of residences set to strengthen housing diversity in the area. Two buildings of 83 & 84 apartments & lofts, as well as 27 townhouses will appeal to singles, couples, families and downsizers. Designed by ClarkeHopkinsClarke architects, the project is set to become the first medium-density Net Zero Carbon community within Victoria. It will be the largest development outside of Melbourne CBD to pivot to all-electric, leading the charge and setting a new standard for property development innovation.
While sustainability is a core focus, We are also prioritising quality of life for residents, offering sophisticated amenities like a wellness centre with lap pool, yoga room, a high-performance fitness centre and a multitude of tranquil communal spaces for residents. The Highett train station is conveniently located moments away, as is the Woolworths anchored Highett Shopping Centre, which assists in creating a walkable neighbourhood, further bolstered by a thriving local dining precinct in Highett.
Highett Common will also be providing further sustainability initiatives including the installation of solar on each building and townhouse to offset grid electricity usage, and further reduce the emissions associated with the site’s operation. The project will provide 100 percent Certified Greenpower to communal areas, EV charging provisions and an EV car-share service will be readily available to encourage residents to embrace green power.
Civil works commenced in October 2022 with the Display Gallery set to open to the public in early March. To learn more or register your interest please visit: www.highettcommon.com.au
